This photo essay was presented at NBCC Photo Essay 2010.
It's a sampler of scenes in and around Washington DC from Tom's extensive library:
monuments and memorials,
the U.S. Capitol,
sunrises and sunsets, even full moon shots.
Though the essay is composed mostly of still images, there are short clips of HD video filmed through super-telephoto lenses (the Washington Monument with crescent moon segment is shot at 1600mm equivalent field of view).
